Sycamore Point

Sycamore Point is a low scope demo of a cosy decoration simulator that I designed to fulfill a personal need of mine - it's a space to think, decorate an environment and most importantly, not a game you can lose at. My vision was that of a room that can be completely customised to how a player wants it, though I used assets that aligned with my interest of a modern goth's apartment.

This version is a proof of concept for the game, focused on promoting mental well-being and mindfulness through the use of simple gameplay mechanics and cosy visual imagery. I used this project to develop my understanding of solo game development principles and methods, deliberately choosing a more simple architecture to enable this. It's also somewhat of a passion project of mine, as this was the realisation of a game I've wanted for a while and eventually decided to make myself.
